			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The &#8220;Stick Your Nose in a Book&#8221; program was held on Friday, September 7.  Community leaders and local educators wore red clown noses in honor of the statewide celebration that encourages reading and promotes literacy for all ages.  Throughout the day, volunteers read to children and adults at various locations.  The event was held in conjunction with International Literacy Day.  The event was co-sponsored by the Jackson County Public Library and Read Jackson County.

The application period closes September 21.  Interviews will take place in October once the governor&#8217;s staff reviews the applications.  The court must be up and running by January 1, 2008.  It will serve as a family court, encompassing dissolutions of marriage, child custody and other related issues.
